The Build Log

My monthly notes on what’s new, what’s better, and what I broke (then fixed). Pick a month on the left β€” newest first. Short reads, sharp features, zero fluff.

AI Bootstrap Builder Log...

April 2026 β€” Stability, Sessions, and Stripe

April focused on tightening the builder experience and preparing the platform for real users. Session handling was refined, image generation behavior was stabilized, and Pro account functionality was pushed closer to production readiness.

  • Session handling improved (Free vs Pro state syncing)
  • AI image injection stabilized inside Live Preview
  • Hero image generation tied correctly to usage tracking
  • Stripe integration completed and tested for Pro upgrades
  • Usage counters (time + image count) now reflect real activity

Less visible work this month β€” but everything runs smoother, cleaner, and closer to launch.

March 2026 β€” AIBB Returns Online

After a brief pause during a domain migration, AI Bootstrap Builder is fully back online. The AI image engine has been restored, both Light and Dark modes now operate from the same backend, and the builder canvas once again generates complete Bootstrap layouts with AI-assisted images in the hero section.

  • AI image generation restored using DALLΒ·E
  • Domain migration to aibootstrapbuilder.com
  • Light and Dark builder environments synchronized
  • Image hydration pipeline repaired inside the canvas

Dan handled the infrastructure. I handled the rebuilding. Together we’re back in business.

February 2026 β€” Quiet Engineering

February focused on infrastructure work rather than visible features. The image pipeline, database connections, and API integrations were reviewed and prepared for the next stage of the builder's development. Most of the work happened behind the scenes β€” exactly where stability lives.

  • Image storage and gallery pipeline improvements
  • Database cleanup and metadata verification
  • Preparation for updated AI image generation

Good builders look simple because the complicated parts are hidden.

January 2026 β€” Strengthening the Core

The year started with a focus on architecture and reliability. AI Bootstrap Builder continues to generate clean Bootstrap websites, but the goal now is making the system lighter, faster, and easier to expand as new AI capabilities are added.

  • Bootstrap layout templates refined
  • Section rendering logic simplified
  • Early groundwork for upcoming Pro features

Every stable system starts with a strong foundation.

December 2025 β€” Preparing for Expansion

December was about planning the next phase of AI Bootstrap Builder. Instead of pushing new features immediately, the focus shifted to simplifying the framework and preparing the platform for larger capabilities planned for the coming year.

  • Builder framework reviewed and streamlined
  • Section layout library expanded
  • Roadmap planning for advanced builder features

The best upgrades begin long before the code is written.
